Many people wonder if the doctrine of the Trinity is biblical, how three Persons can be “one God,” and if it really matters whether we believe in the Trinity or not. In response to these and many other questions, the BRI released two new books on the Trinity.
Volume 1, Revisiting the Trinity: Biblical Theological, and Historical Reflections (512 pp.), provides an in-depth interdisciplinary study of this crucial topic. It addresses, for example, the reliability of the Trinitarian statements of the Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White and highlights several contrasts between the Catholic philosophical and the Adventist biblical understandings of the Trinity.
Volume 2, Exploring the Trinity: Questions and Answers (506 pp.), provides helpful answers to sixty-two questions people are asking today about the Trinity. This volume covers the Old and New Testaments, theology, church history, Ellen G. White’s writings, and contemporary issues and is written in an accessible manner so that persons with no theological training can easily benefit from it.
Pastors and church members alike will gain a better understanding of God and His self-revelation and glean meaningful insights into His nature and character that they can share with others. These books should be required reading for every pastor. The book may be ordered online from the BRI Bookshop,1 by phone at (301) 680-6790, or on Kindle.2
